Air Bag Light
Quick bump of this... Really dislike the dash light being on all the time. Can I just go up to the nearest dodge dealer and say my airbag light is on? Do you guys know if I will be charged or anything? I haven't done anything to make this light come on... We've had air bag issues before.
I'm almost wondering if it's the clock spring in the steering column. Would that be a DIY fix? Or what.

I had that same exact problem (both lights) when I removed my front seats. All of the wiring looked good, so I had to have the dealer recalibrate the sensors in the passenger seat.
Did you ever check the center pass airbag light for a malfunction? Just the light. If its not plugged in or its dead, the dash light will go on.
But, I'm pretty sure the dealer will charge you if its OOW.

To test the yellow center lights up above the radio, simply turn the key forward and the lights should turn on for a few seconds.
If they are working and you only have the red airbag light on the instrument cluster, then there is a problem somewhere else in the airbag system.
If you're in warranty, I would bring it in to the dealer.

Your probably in over your head. As the computer goes though its check on the airbag... resistance checks and such its finding something wrong and the light is identifying it. I don't think its going to be something you can fix on your own. Disconnecting the battery will reset the code in the airbag computer and if it doesn't find the problem again it wont show again. When the light is on its possible that the airbag won't deploy during a crash, depending on what problem the computer is coding. Its not something you will be able to code fix as the airbag code won't show up in the usually engine codes.
my suggestion is to take it to the dealer.

I had same problem on my 2005 dodge dakota it was the sensor on the bottom of the passenger seat The light would go off if some one would seat in passenger seat so dealer adjusted it and it worked perfectly
