SuperChips?
Any issues running the 91 tune on 87 octane?
I run the 87 tune and used the pre-installed TM settings (didnt want to pay for the self adjustment settings yet) I would recommend changing the tire size settings. Because it sets it at 28" but mine measured 28.5", not surre if it made a difference but every little thing helps.
There is no "hype" ..... just Superchips covering their butt. To put it simply, Superchips tunes arent very aggressive in the terms that they dont push the limit of performance to the fuel being used. Because the tuners are used all over, with people using different qualities of gasoline, they have to be very conservative when it comes to tuning. Remember, its the quality of the gas that matters. A quality fuel rated at 87 octane can be alot better than a crappy fuel rated at 93 octane. If you use quality fuel, you shouldnt have to really worry. Listen for pinging. If you are still worried, pull the spark plugs and look to see if there are any signs of pre-det on the ceramic.

SC tuner was the best thing that I have added to mine. I tried the 91 octane tune and got more power (longer burn-outs) than 87 tune. I agree with the above about good gas vs. crap gas.
I towed a trailer about 3000 miles in January with the towing tune. It worked great - 14mpg, 87 octane gas, never missed a beat. I did notice that the tailpipe was black when I got home. It must set the mixture fairly rich.
