P0700 is a general trans code, its not specific. When was the last time you changed the fliud.

It was the "Solenoid Pack" The dealer said that we only have one in the trans and the dealer price on the part was $297. I got the work done at the dealer, ONLY because everywhere else had a two week wait for trans work within 25 miles. If it would drive faster than 30, i would have taken it farther... but after parts, fluid top off, filter, and labor it was $729.38

Could that be the same problem Im having? I took my truck to get it put on a machine and it said 0700. Then it said transaxle system fault. Later described as possibly being a shorted or open circuit within transaxle or failure of transaxle control module. My truck jerks when i put it in gear (drive), then when i sit idle it may jerk and act like it is going to shut off and has actually shut off 3x. My check engine light came on and went off and when i crank it in the morning i have to sit for like 30 sec because when in gear it doesn't want to swith where i can drive (it's like it wont automatically swith into gear, it's like it slowly getting there like i have in neutral or something). Any solutions or suggestions

Where were you guys the last 2 weeks with my threads about my P0700, P08xx codes? haha. My truck was doing exact same thing and I just got back from a local tranny shop. They replaced the solenoid pack for $640 after tax. No problems on the way home. I'll come back in here if I experience any issues.

It would be the PCM as the 05+ Dakota use the NGC PCM integrated control module. The older JTEC PCMs have a stand alone TCM.

These transmissions are very picky. I would start with changing the fuild/filters and go from there.

545-RFE Solenoids go for about 200$
