i need help ASAP. Trans is in limp mode. codes P0700 and P0750

Default i need help ASAP. Trans is in limp mode. codes P0700 and P0750

I need help real bad guys. My 2006 Dakota is stuck in 2nd gear aka limp mode. Its my daily driver and I need tips, suggestions, advice, something. The engine codes are P0750 and P0700. 0750 reads as solenoid A malfunction. Please let me know guys.

You can start off by pulling the positive battery cable for about an hour then hook it up and see if the code comes back. Also check your negative battery terminal for corrosion.

Did both. The light went away and so did the problem until I put it in drive. I put it in reverse first and everything was good. As soon as I shifted to drive, it jerked forward a bit and then the light came on

P0750 Shift Solenoid A Malfunction
P0700 Usually means a fault in the Transmission Control Module (TCM
If you search on the dakota-durango forum there is a thread discussing this and the solenoid will have to be replaced.

I think you have to replace some solenoid....

Is the TCM itself bad or wiring? How much am I looking to spend for the fix? Any causes?

Dont quote me on this, but I would say the TCM is throwing a code because the solenoid is bad.

So the way that Im taking this is if I replace the solenoid, the 0700 will go away in that the solenoid isn't triggering the tcm that there is a probably.
