Default Front end delima

OK, so i am thinkin that i am due for new struts in the front. What should i do:

1. Use my extended warranty, pay the 100.00 deductible and get all factory shocks
2. buy 300.00 worth of rancho's and say screw you to the factory ones?

If i go to option #2, ill probably put a leveling kit on at the same time.

A nother thing to considder with all of this is that i keep "hearing" things (i might just be imagining things, and i cant hear for s***) comin from the front end as i am turning or goin over some bumps. I dont know if something is wrong. I dont want to take it in to have them diagnose it, and find nothing wrong, and charge the crap out of me.

PLEASE, let me know what yall think.

I say buy the ranchos. you can install them your self and save on the labor, its a good time to inspect the front suspension and steering while you got it apart.

all those noises are the ball joints, they are terribll, riveted into place and when the rivets snaps, the ball joint crinds it's way into the control arm.f you bought the extened warr. they are covered

well you can expect 20-30k from factory ones, if that, whereas ranchos last, well, a lot longer. so you are just postponing the inevitable. I say option 2 with the leveling kit. my 2cents....

I would say it is worth option #2 if you have the funds. The Rancho's will also help protect the rest of the suspension from wear.

Rancho and the leveling kit isnt bad at all. I love how the front end.

Lesson #1 Gentleman: The ladies dont like one that isn't stiff. I'd assume we can relate this statement to the front end of our trucks.

Thanks B oh B! The stiffer the better!....

See i aint sure that i am havin front end issues yet, except for struts. I hear an veary extreemly intermittent grinding sound, but that could be anything, then every once in a while, i hear a poping sound, but that is at full turn, and veary rarely at that.

(as i typed this out, i looked up my service contract, and it doesnt sound like they will charge me for the diagnosis)

So what i might do, is take it in and have them replace the struts, and while they got it that far apart, take a look at the other parts infront of their faces and tell me if they are bad, and fix them. then when these new struts go bad, or if i have any money next year after buyin a house, put the rancho's and leveling kit on. (I just gotta do it before 75000 miles, i think, for the warranty to still be good, if i read things right.)

BTW, (and i know i should just look this up, , but what typically goes wrong, and how much and how hard is it to replace any of the front end parts? Or is it better to take it to a shop and have them put it all in.

Kinda feel like im playin russian roulette with a autoloader, gonna get it one way or the other.
