Struts and shocks
I'm replacing my struts and shocks on my '05 dakota but I am unsure of which ones to use. Monroe or Rancho. Does anyone have experience with the monroe self leveling shocks for the rear? Are they better/worse than the rancho shocks. I have a camper shell on my truck and also carry paint supplies in the back that weigh the truck down. If I put a leveling kit on the truck will the monroes keep the truck from sagging in the rear under load? Thanks for any help
Thanks for the quick reply. I searched earlier and read through most of the threads but couldn't find a good answer. I've had this truck for 3 months and put 6k miles on it and have replaced the tie rod ends, sway bar links, rack and pinion, and now replacing lower ball joints so I figured I might as well replace the shocks on it while I'm at it. Thank you!
i swear mine must have had all the front end stuff replaced at some point before I got it, I have almost 70k and had the front end checked out when I had an alignment check done a month ago, they said everything up front is solid. I am replacing my struts because it is a tad too bouncy for me, but the other stuff is fine.
I would recomend the load leveling shocks. They are a coilover design that will give you about 500lbs more load capacity. They will provide more stability and your truck will squat less when loaded.
Perfect. Thank you

i dont understand sorry..
in the rear just change the shocks right?? why you guys talk about coilovers at the rear?? the dakota has leaf springs!!
reagrding the front, which rancho model? does rancho has struts for dakotas??
I found this post in the web, it looks that maybe could be used in the dakotas. Is a rancho quicklift on a Ram 1500, it has the same bottom mount that the dakotas.
what do you think? will it fit on dakota 2010?
