Question Interior LED'S

I'm running all LED's in the interior and have an issue with the lights coming on when I open the door and then they go right back off again or sometimes they dont come on at all and I have to put the key in acc and turn the little wheel beside the light switch to turn them on, then they come on and stay on. They also used to fade out slowly when the door was closed, but now, when they do work, they just turn off when the door is closed. Anyone else run LED's inside and have any issues like this? I wonder should I install a load resistor somewhere like we have to do for LED turn signals??

I keep my wheel cranked to the first notch not the one where they are all the time but just before. I swapped all my interior led's and did a ton of white led's under the doors so when they are opened they come on as well to light up the ground. I think its a power issue when you try to lower the power going to all the lamps inside. My jeep did a similar thing when I had it and had to leave it on that one spot.

dude u could try a load resistor. the pcm may be reading the led's as a dead bulb. it makes sense and is easy to test...

I had issues like that too, then the led's I put in the map lights up front stopped working. Dome light still works fine though (led also). I just chalked it up to a bad batch of 197 LEDs at the time, now it seems like there may have been more to it.

Yeah they weren't broken or anything. Once I get around to it i will do up some paint at work and paint em again. Still haven't decided to go in black or body match yet.

Here's the response I got from V-LEDs...

Are the 194 bulbs the map lights as well? We have had reports of the map
lights causing issues like this because of the type of circuit it is.

Try installing the original bulbs in the map lights and see if the problem
goes away on the dome light. Be sure to set the map lights to the off
position after you reinstall the original bulbs then reinstall the LEDs.
That may get them to work properly.

I did this and now they are working normally again....kinda like resetting the computer I guess....
