Sound right? It sure sounds like it...

Time to re-do the top end...I guess...

Pull the valve cover, see what you find. Might have just spit out a rocker.

Only 2 things make that noise, a lifter issue, or an exhaust leak.

yepper

going to start tearing it down...

to get the lifters out, I have to take off the rockers? right? I remember being able to get to them without taking the heads off...but i think I had to take the rockers out...
its been 10 years since I did this

Yes, and the intake as well, since the lifter retainer brackets are under it. Well, at least on my V6, I don't know if the V8s are different.

Yea I remember that @alloro :lol: I had to put new head on my old v6..the heads had the cracking issue...

I started tearing it down...not too bad..Ill post some pics tomorrow
