what it it?? should i change the cam sensor? my truck is still on powertrain warranty.

any idea of troubleshoting tricks?

You are right with the Cam shaft. The code is "Cam Shaft Sensor Intermittent". Could possibly be your sensor is going bad.

Do you have a intermitten starting issues? Does the engine die randomly? If so the sensor is going bad. Its simple to change, one bolt and a connector. Should run about $30 or so usd.

Edit:

Borg Warner CSS635. We sell it for $24.99. Its mounted on the passengers side towards the front, looks like its on the under side of the valve cover.

if it's easy to swap out it's probably worth the $25 to not lose your truck for a whole day to the dealer.
