how to stop cracking in upholstery?

my truck is the champagne/gold/beige color lol, not sure if thats the taupe color or whatever. interior is light gray seats and the lighter beige and gray door panels

btw it doesnt seem like the crack goes all the way through the hard plastic underneath. its just cracked/split open on the soft/squishy part of the door panel right next to the window control on the side

If you can post a pic that would give me a better idea if I can help you out. Worst case, if the extra material I have matches, I can probably just cut a small piece and mail it to you.
