Default %$#* Failed Inspection

Well I knew the tinted taillights would probably fail, so luckily I still have the untinted ones and swapped them out before the inspection, but they failed it anyway because of the tinted third brake light...how lame....anyone have an unused third brake light laying around I can borrow so I can pass inspection???

Geez. What kind of **** state are you living in?

Up until a month ago, not one of my vehicles was new enough to even HAVE a third brake light.

For that they take you off the road?

No inspection here in WI

All we have he is emissions testing where they plug in to the OBD II. I didnt even have to turn my trucks tuning back to stock to pass it.

If you want a 3rd brake light off ebay or from a junk yard, anything from a 97 or newer Dakota will work.

I know, it's one of the things they inspect "if equipped". I have 60 days to fix it and get it re-inspected, I'm not off the road. North Carolina is not near as bad as Maryland. When I lived there, I had a Thunderbird that they failed because I had an aftermarket tachometer mounted to the steering column, they said it "obstructed" the view of the speedo, so they failed it...
