Default 07 Dakota bottoms out over speed bumps

Even when i'm driving very slowly over speed bumps sometimes my Dakota's front end will totally bottom out, it's ridiculous not even my Wife's Aveo will not act in this way. Any advice on what might be causing this would be great I thought shocks but hey I'm not a mechanic.

It's a 2007 Club Cab - 4x4 - Tow Package - 4.7L V8 - 60000 Miles/95000KM

Thanks

Have you replaced the struts? They Go bad quickly on the 3rd gens.

Hi Wingman

I actually just bought this truck on Friday, I had it up on the ramps and took a look and It almost seems like they might be the original struts. It was mechanically inspected but I guess they missed that part. Any other advice you could give would be great.

Replace the struts with rancho or monroe. Factory stuff is junk. Welcome to the forum. You will learn a lot about your truck here!

Yeah, replace the struts and you will see a big difference. Rancho or moroe are the only ones who make them for our trucks. rancho part # are front RS 5757...rear RS5315

That definitely sounds like blown struts to me, personally I would go with the Rancho's, they're supposed to be a little stiffer.
