Default Brake noise

I installed slotted and dimpled rotors with pads and ever since it makes this slight ticking noise when stoping but doesnt happen when braking hard. Any clue what this is, I know my front end needs work but dam 34k miles and I need like a full front end

Is the noise more of a creaking noise? if that is the case the main piston might need to be oiled.

A ticking noise might be the brass or metal clips hitting something.

Seems normal to me. the ticking sound would be the slots and dimples in the rotor making contact with the friction material.

yeah think about it...you got slots and holes in the rotors...they make noise when contacting pads.....i had the same thing on a previous car that I made the unfortunate decision to put crossed drilled rotors on...they click....

Same rotors and same noise here. I only noticed it when I jacked up the front and spin the wheels.

Interesting. Kinda glad it's normal but mad at same time. It is annoying. Anything to quiet it down or is a bigger stereo system in my future.
