Default adjusting shifts

On these tunners you can adjust shifting firmness, what does that do? I think I understand everything else about those tunners.

Superchips allows for adjustment of the torque management
Lowering it to ~10% will dramatically increase firmness. A sinned will also help as it increases transfer line pressure.

I'm at 2-3% tm and a custom shift schedule with the sonnax. shifts firm if I'm really on it, but normal driving can't tell that much of a difference.
