i noticed the frame, but it looks like he chopped right before the octagon part of the frame. I cant be sure, but it does look like a 110% fab job. tons of work. Which I'm ok with. Still think the hardest part is finding the donor truck. Thats what I'm waiting on. Until I find that one good one, I cant proceed with my project. And I go on leave in 2 weeks for a month. Hoping to find it soon or this is going to have to wait til after my deployment.

From the Sept. 2010 issue of Petersons 4wheel and offroad:
"so when ken ran across a totaled-out 06 dakota, he took one good look at the damaged quad cab and decided it would be the perfect transition from his rough and tumble jeep. Since there is hardly any aftermarket support for the late-model dakota (understatement of the year..) ken spent many long nights with a grinder and a welder cutting and crafting custom parts and also making quite a few junk yard trips to scavenge the best parts he could find". It says up front, the ifs was ripped out and a custom coil-spring and radius arm setup was welded in place with a high pinion dana 60. Completely stock 4.7 in that thing, but he's running 4.88 gears...
