Hey all, just dropping in after my deployment for an update. Wife doesn't like the blower so I am selling the kit in the for sale forums, check it out for details, almost the entire kit for our trucks will be included, which is unheard of.
For now I am getting a 4.7 HO motor installed with forged steel crank, from there it will run into my titanium headers, then hi flo magnaflow cats, then two aero turbine 2525 mufflers, then out the back into two tips in the center of the bumper since I don't use a spare tire, so yeah true dual. I will probably get my cams ground later on into a 212x for that nice cam lope I love, and use the heads from my old engine to get machined at the machine shop for a nice heads upgrade. So keep in mind I will also have all the working motor parts of an OEM 4.7 also if anyone wants to buy parts, including the heads from my new engine.
I think that is all for mods, once it is all working nice I will sell it and begin my hunt for a used 2012 5.0 Mustang, I know barf right? But I love them.
ALSO- pay your respects to the original owner of the fiberglass hood with functional scoop, ram srt-10 rims, and eyebrow/clear-corner headlights (me and Blown)... I see a lot of copycats out there! Losers. Just kidding. But seriously.

So the wife said HO motor with 212X cams over stock motor with blower? Wise choice as the HO motor with its forged pieces are build to take abuse.

 

I think I joined while you were deployed. I just want to say thank you for your bravery and honor. Thank you for doing what a lot of people don't have the courage to do and thank you to all who serve on the DF community!!

Eric- this may sound retarded but I got turned off the evo mainly because they have crappy gas mileage, haha. I love that the new 5.0 can make 25ish mpg!
Blown- Yeah it was kind of both our decision not to supercharge since I know I am getting a Mustang within the next couple years, it wasn't worth the work! I enjoy cams too much not to do that though, so we compromised. I will also have fun playing with the old motor in my garage this fall on the ground, taking it apart and playing around...
