Default truck hot after flush

Have not had a chance to get on in a while, with a new house and all but I hate to ask... Flushed the coolant, changed the thermo burped reburped, reburped, then put old thermo back in and still warm not over heating but stays about half way. It has never been that hot unless it was 100 degrees? Any ideas? Got a new fan clutch sittin here and dayco belt was shiny so I put in my two month old mopar and still no luck. Thanks in advance

Did you put the thermostat back in the correct way? They only really work one way.

Did you add to much coolant and not enough water?
Do you own a coolant checker? if so you might want to check it.

With the 195 stock thermostat the temp needle sits about half way on the gauge.

Just tried the hydromometer on the ol ladys trooper and got a reading. Nothing on the dak, too much coolant I'm thinking

Oh, I'm using an EG hydro, not a PG hydro. I'll check it tomorrow when I get a new one thanks Eimer, hope the temp is right don't want warped heads

Be sure to turn the heater on full blast. You want to make sure to replace any coolant that may have drained out if the heater core as well as remove any air locks.
