You gotta go into a potential deal with a higher than this number, if you go thru a dealer. They will most of the time bend over backwards to make a sale. I got a free box liner, and 4000.00 off the price. Which was a lot for an st modle. Shopping around helps to, so you say they will give it to me for this much.

I almost got violent with my salesman. I looked at my truck and it was priced at $14,890. It had 83,XXX miles on it and was a v6. No bed liner and a crooked front bumper. Salesman said $14,000 was the best he could do. I got "mad" and asked if it came with a chauffeur and free gas for a year, he said no. I said for 14k Give me a bumper to bumper 5 year warranty and 10 free oil changes. He again declined. I then told him I was going to another dealership with better service and asked to speak to his manager. I told the manager he was a pr**k and blah blah ( I lied to the manager). Got the truck with a free bumper to bumper 5 year warranty for $9,2xx everything included.

I got my 2007 Laramie Quad Cab TRX 4x4 with the Off Road package with 15200 miles for $17k....

I bought her on Dec/2008 and the sticker price was a tad lower than $33k. when out of the facotry so by buying her a year old i saved almost $18k..

There are good trucks out there, you just need to keep an eye open....

Good Luck!!

Haha, thats awesome!

It seems as though I'm the only one that was dumb enough to buy a brand new Dak...with a V6, thinking it would be ok.

So why are you having to do the brake/axle work yourself?

The rear brake was seized right up and dragging the tire down the road. The dealership/warranty doesn't include towing or normal wear and tear items(brakes and it is 47 miles to the dealership with a $3 per mile rate) and there is a $200 Deductible. I need the truck tomorrow and they don't have any pick-ups available. I got the parts and did it myself and saved $.
