I have the airaid set up. I first got the MIT (the "modular intake tube") which was about $100. This got rid of the resonator off the throttle body and gave a smooth ride for air from the air box. It added some engine noise, but not much. Later on I got the airaid quickfit which is the other half of the CAI. I didnt notice any performance increase to tell you the truth, but it did add alot more engine noise. Perfect setup would be a drop in K&N with the Airaid MIT IMO. I was running a K&N with the MIT before I got the quickfit. Atleast it sounds beasty now

Same intake on mine, I had the whole Airaid intake (300-175) and it was a bit too noisy for my taste. Took off the MIT to quiet it down some, I can't believe the Airaid MIT cost is $109. I may be selling my brand new Airaid MIT.

If it's the one I'm thinking of that places the filters directly above the exhaust manifolds, you don't want to be sucking in hot air.

I have a K&N 57 series with a brand new filter that I'll be selling once I figure out which box it's in (just moved apartments). PM me if you're interested.

If you want to mod the snorkle, the more air you can get in the box the better. If you can get cool air to the box, thats even better. I ran an air scoop from the bumper to the box to do this.
