Question front coil springs

Are there any aftermarket coil springs that are stiffer (say about 250-500 pounds stronger) than the stock coil springs on our trucks? I dont want anything longer, but just stiffer. I aint afraid of riding on a board.

The reason i ask is that #1: I am gonna be addin about 150 pounds to the front and dont want any sag. #2 It might help stop some of the bounce up front. (i know that rancho's would cure issue #2, but cant afford it yet.)

thats going to be a scary ride lol. your going to be hopping all over the place with stiffer rates. braking will be affected and youll pretty much not have that much give in the front. it would be like riding in a car with the axle mounted solid to the frame.

but no...there are no springs for our trucks. you might be able to take the spring off and measure the free standing height and O.D and go universal from eibach or king or some similar spring manufacture

wouldn't an inside the strut spacer kit help this problem? by adding the spacer you are increasing the force between the a-arms, therefore making the truck "feel" stiffer. This would allow you to add a front bumper (~150lbs), winch, or anything else, and the truck would look close to stock. If you do that, I would by those ranchos or monroes since you're already taking the front end apart.

just my two pennies...

That sounds like a logical approach. Monroe's and over the strut spacers did nothing to stiffen the ride in my truck.

Ya that does make sence. When i do the shocks, it will be the rancho's kinda like it a little bit stiffer (thats what she said). But i was thinkin that with the truck completely stock, it seems that there is too much weight on the front end, but if i remember correctly, when i just got some brand new factory shocks (under warranty a month ago) they did seem to control the front end better. I just didnt know if stiffer springs would solve anything, but i can see how that would affect the breaking aspect of things. I can see how a little bit more of a "pre-load" on the springs with the spacer in there, would give it a little bit more strength. if anything else, it would just help keep it lookin stock with the extra weight on the front.

I would just buy ranchos with a spacer and be done with it. I got my ranchos for $70 each off of autopartswarehouse with a coupon code. By the time you mess around with springs, and the labor to swap them out, you probably should just put better struts in.
