if your talking about the black coating on the actual braking surface, its not supposed to stay, it's easier to just coat the whole rotor.

Not on the braking surface itself but on the outer rim, hub area, in the dimples and slots, basically everywhere that the brake pads don't make contact with. If there was only rusty spots on the braking surface it wouldn't matter since you can drive for 2 minutes and remove that just by using the brakes. Either way the performance for the price is great but I'll be trying a different brand next time because I'm not happy with how they look right now. There has to be someone with a coating that will last.
