Question Intake

Hey guys I have a question and wasn't sure where to post it. I own a 08 Dakota 3.7L. I recently had someone try and sell me a intake for 00 Dakota 4.7L. I would have tried to bolt it on and see if it fits but I'm on vacation and 1400 miles from my truck. From what I see it looks like the engine compartment is very similar. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It should fit. If you look up the ebay listing most of them have 3.7 and 4.7.

I don't think a 2000 intake will fit a 2005-2011 (all the same, 3.7l and 4.7l).

You could give it a try..you might get lucky if it is a "universal" one (not really made for any particular model).

I think you're right. While the engines are the same, didn't they change the throttle body? You would have to make sure the TB inlet is the same size.

I'm almost positive the motors have different sized throttle bodies..as similar as they may be :/ you could definitely come up with some kind of adapter to get it to work though. Rubber hose + a clamp or two= success
