here is another dream for you guys!
so... i have been given a good running john deere 4045 (4 cyl, 4.5L)
i have found bellhousing and flywheel adapters to hook the SAE housing to the crysler transmission, and looks as tho im am going to drop this thing in the dak!
the warrenty is up im may of next year, i'm gona try an wait till then, bud idk if that will happen, i really wanted the cummins but for the price, i cant pass this up, and i love being the "different" one of the bunch, plus the added power and fuel milage should be incrediable
i figure i can tune the trans with the superchip, then i just need to figure out a TPS sensor and a crank sensor, then find someone that can program the ecu to turn off the ignition and injection systems just to keep the CEL off....

they r rated bout 120 hp and roughly 300 lb ft of torque, but as im sure u can figure out that wont last long for me, i'm hopefully gona have it to about 300 HP / 600 tq, with pump, injector, and turbo mods, when i drop it in
What do you intend to do with the front suspension? Our factory suspension wont do well with the added weight.

I googled the motors and there is approx a 60 lb weight difference the JD being heavier.
You will have to get your trans tunes. My uncle put a Cummins ISF 3.8 in his wrangler awhile back and had to have his tuned
