Default difference in tuners

hey guys, after spending my hard saved deployment money on parts for the Dak its down to the intake and tuner. now im looking at the superchips website and they have the flashpaq and the coretex. my question is whats the difference between the two, who among you has what, what are the power gains, and whats the ease of use for both. thanks guys

The flashpaq and cortex will provide the same results. The differance is the cortex comes with an extended powertrain warranty.

Hes saying check out Hemifever.com. Alot of people on here say hes the go to guy for tuning our trucks. I havent tried it yet, but I am shortly. I have the 3.7L and so far, hes the only one I have found who can/will tune it.

For 2008 and newer with 4.7L Hemifever uses the Diablo.

Custom tuner makes sense if you plan on modifying heavily. It gives you the ability to retune as you alter power characteristics of fuel, air, and compression. The fact that these motors are fairly optimized from the factory means that until you increase flow, you're not going to see much gain in the software end. Reducing torque management is probably gonna be the biggest bang for your buck without more extensive mods. You have to keep in mind that we are getting 300 horse out of 287 cubic inches. My 360 was only 250 horse. But it was far less efficient, so intake, exhaust, PCM, and shiftkit all combined actually made quite a difference. If you just want acceleration, swap gears. 4.56 gears will make a big difference, especially if you have 3.55's. Be prepared to fill up every 180 miles or so. The benefit of gears is that you won't be making more power, so you are less likely to break things than if you throw some forced induction in there. Add a Superchips to gears, you have the shifting performance and reduce torque management, plus generate a few more ponies. More power does create more headaches, and I'm sure it's why Dodge went so aggressive with TM. A big part of the reason I don't have my R/T anymore is that I was on my 4th bent driveshaft, and I snapped the reverse belt, requiring a complete rebuild of the tranny.

superships flashpaq was the best bang for the buck mod I have made....so far...really wakes the truck up.
