NOS basically works by doing two things, it has a cooling effect and contains more oxygen. A cooler cylinder plus more oxygen = more power.

There are two basic set ups. The wet shot and the dry shot.
A dry shot refers to the Nitros being sprayed into the intake manifold. It is then mixed with oxygen and fuel at the injectors.

A wet shot means that the Nitros mixes with fuel before and sprayed directly into the throttle body.

A kit can be set up for under $500

Is it safe?

If done correctly yes. Specially if u go with a wet shot, since it gives u the ability
to mix the Nitros with fuel reducing the chance of you running too lean as a result of the added oxygen.

Set up a 100 shot and you should see 50-70hp instantly. That is power u can feel my friend.

I think the 05s and 06s Daks were made by/for Manginas because mine has always been spiffy too and even spiffier with the tuner. Just ask Altair about the Redlight launch at the 2010 DF Meet. I had my A/C on and the ol' wifey in truck with me and we run him by over a half truck length. We both have the normal 4.7s and 3.55s with the open diffs... that was good times

Open diffy might be the difference, most 08+ have the limited slip which makes it a little more difficult to spin.

never an issue with my truck, blew the back end loose the day I drove it off the lot and never looked back.if the truck is 3 yrs old and the plugs were never changed, do it, and yes, most if not all these daks came from the factory with either the wrong plugs, or the gaps were all over the place, as for nitrous, I safely run the hemi 125 shot. its all about tuning and when not to go over board, zex makes a great kit for our trucks. 65 shot, look into it

I can only chirp tires with my lsd on cold tires. I can burn them on smooth pavement if I use the brakes.

I wouldnt brag about being able to spin tires with an open diff. What are you gonna say next? You can spin the tires off the line in your wifes front wheel drive compact?

I was not bragging....I said it was lame...I would much rather have both tires spinning...but I don't. So it is lame when I do spin the tire only one spins...that is lame...and embarrasing because anyone can do that.
