then it shouldnt be drive by wire. if it feels super laggy it may be due for plugs. if u read up, you will find that alot of trucks came from the factory with plugs that aren't gap'd right. u may also want to check out ur filter. just my .02

Plugs... worth a shot... simple fix, gives me something to do next weekend. I presume you're talking air filter? Thinking about going to a K&N anyways.

its sooo worth it getting the k&n drop in. plugs are cheap and mine were the originals and were waaayyyy off.

A tuner will still help a little because of torque managment. I no exactly what you meen it seems like when you floor it it doesnmt go anywhere till around 3k rpm right?

Exactly... once it kicks in it takes off pretty good... You just don't get that immediate response like you did with the older motors.

IMO u should get:

Cold air intake
Exhaust
And a nice 100 shot.

Should make a world of a difference over stock.

If it has the 3.55 gears it will always feel a bit sluggish. If you have the 3.92 gears it makes a huge difference. Superchips will help out though.

ok, i know a 100 shot refers to nitrous, but is there a standard kit that just bolts on? our motors can take it?
