2008 v6 dakota quad cab auto
speaker size? i have the regular stereo...not the fancy upgraded one. i checked crutchfield and they show VARIOUS sizes....
windshield washer nozzle. the motor runs, the wipers go, nothing comes out! all hoses are attached, no water leaking. i do feel a residue of water on the nozzle...wtf?
rear brakes...when the e-brake is NOT engaged and i release the brake pedal a noise comes out...sorta like a semi truck...i would say the sound goes like "hoooon" when the e-brake is in...no noise when pressing the pedal.
also from a dead stop when i hit the gas, i get a little kick...wtf? do i need to service the trans?

a lot of views and no help.
I'm not sure on all of the answers, but hopefully my response gathers some more posters:
speaker size: stock system i believe is 6.5" front and rear but i bet 5.25's would fit as well. crutchfield.com is your friend
washer nozzle: not sure. sounds like a clog. maybe pull the hose from the motor to the nozzle and check it for clogs. then check the nozzle for clogs. maybe pull nozzle and put it in some clr?? not too sure.
rear brakes: no clue
little kick: possible body mount problem? is it like the engine goes, truck starts to move and then a 1/10th of a second your butt is put back in the seat?

Washer nozzle: maybe clog but you say you have some water, I wonder if it's pressure? I don't know what part gives the pressure but I'd have a good look at it.
If you think clog, maybe a bunch of rubbing alcohol in your fluid & then of course button pressing. We use rubbing alcohol in crazy cold all the time so I know it's safe for the lines. Don't burn out you motor though.
CLR could work. Do be cautious of fumes if you go that route, not sure how that'd mix with whatever you already have in your lines.

Confirmed on the 6.5" speaker size. I'm happy with my replacement ALPINE Type-R SPR-17C, but they really deserve an amp which I haven't done, yet.
My windshield washer did the same thing, lasted a couple months and it fixed itself.. Still don't know what the deal was but I too got just a little moisture at the nozzle until one day it just worked. Like the other guys said check for clogs.
How does your transmission do when shifting through the other gears?

The guys covered most the other topics well enough.
The ebrake is most likely rusty springs on the shoes making noises when being stetching and released. If its holding and the brakes arent sticking, I would leave it alone. When you/if you do a rear brake job, just clean everything up real good and it would most likely solve your sound annoyance.
That kick may also be normal... can you explain it alittle better. Does it do it with constant throttle or are you hitting it and then letting off? Anything of that nature may help us help you

With the scant info provided it's nearly impossible to help diagnose. All we can do is guess.
If my trans was acting odd, the first thing I'd do is service it. Get both of the factory filters, find a trans shop that can flush your trans 100%, and refill with synthetic fluid. If the trans service doesn't fix your problem (if it is a problem), you need more (expensive) diagnostics.
Drum brakes are pretty simple. A complete rear brake job is a DIY task. If my truck was high mileage I'd replace drums, shoes, soft lines, hardware and wheel cylinders. There are a couple of rub points on the backing plate that need lubrication. I'd also check the parking brake cable for wear. Depending on the previous history of the truck, I'd check/replace/service the wheel bearings also.
You won't know until you start digging. There's a lot of satisfaction in maintaining your own vehicles.

the trans kick happens most when cold. i start up the truck, let the rpm's die down a little to idle then go...from shifting first to second, there is a nice noticable kick. then 7-10 times there would be the kick from a dead stop once from when taking off
55k on the clock...im not sure when it was serviced. i bought it several months ago from a major dealer here in san diego, i had the temp warranty on it i took it in and told them whats up and OF COURSE they cannot replicate the issue....typical
they did state that everything gets serviced when traded in
