Windshield Wiper Valance Removal DIY
Don't know if this will be helpful but here it is. I removed my valance to spray bed liner on it and figured if anybody wanted to do this as well here is how. Note: this is not hard to remove, the windshield wiper arms were the toughest part.
Tools Needed:
15mm Socket or Wrench
T27 Torx Bit
Vice Grips
Flat Headed Screw Driver
First start by removing these four fasteners DSCN1129.jpg
Then pop off those covers on the wiper arms and which reveal's this. Remove the nut and take the arm off. To remove the arm I used vice grips, put one jaw under the arm and the other on top of the bolt and squeezed until it popped off. Yes they will 'pop' so don't worry; you didn't break anything

Remove the weather stripping in the engine bay.

and the plastic rivets in each corner

Then lift the valance to reveal some rubber hosing. This is where I disconnected them. I just held one end and pulled the other, they will come off with some encouragement.

Once those are disconnected remove the valance and remove the fluid nozzle's. Pull the hose off of each and squeeze the tabs and remove

That is it. You wouldn't believe the amount of empty space under there lol.
Hope at least one person finds this useful

nice work, nick! i was just out washing my windows and was eyeing the same piece but i recently figured out spraying armor all interior protectant brings all these plastics back to life! i was going to paint my rear bumper cover/step whatever its called but sprayed it with armor all. Also used it to shine up my Laredo bed cover (this was recently talked about on a thread) and it worked perfectly. But getting out the rattle can never hurts. Great pictures.
Haha we have to wait and see if Eimer can come up with them first. Anything else?
Steve: How long will that armor-all last? Come on just spray your bumper cover and valance

uhh it will last until the hurricane hits and washes it away..haha looking at some very severe weather here in the Boston area. I ll spray the bumper cover soon because I have some truck bed coating left in the garage. Faded plastics really eat away at vehicle appearance.
