p1120 engine code
Hey everyone, I just bought a '05 Dakota V8 Magnum 4x4 auto with 66K miles. I'm the third owner and the truck is pristine. However; driving home yesterday the check engine light came on. I went to the parts store today and they hooked it up and the computer gave a p1120 code. The parts store guy checked the list and said there was no dakota reference for that code and said they couldn't do anything. I even had him check it again to make sure he had the right code. Any thoughts on what this might be?
If this has any bearing; I live in the rain soaked northeast where there has been a lot of flooding. My truck survived the floods but I did have to drive through a lot of standing water (less than 6"). I noticed the driver side floor was completely soaked. Could this have screwed something up?

That code is a generic Throttle position sensor code. Try resetting your computer and see if the code comes back. If there is a true fault, the ECU should come back with either P1121 (TPS Circ Interm Hi Voltage) or P1122 (TPS Circ Interm Low Voltage)
