No interest in being an admin! I'm into my second half century, 6'-3", 223lbs today!, bad joints all around, no major broken bones but I was in a fight with an NHL player (we were in grade 8 at the time), but I try to work smart rather than strong - save that for when it is necessary.
With work, repairs and accounting at my wife's vet clinic, Scouts, etc, etc, I don't have the extra time. Barely time to read the posts!

Thank you 'gator... Wanna be an admin? I have a feeling a spot will be opening up soon.... Like about 10 mins after I get ahold of young 'bolt!
He might be like 15 years or so younger than me, and I've had back surgery, have a hernia, have had surgery on both knees, broken about every finger and at 6'3" 240 lbs. don't move like I used to, but ON MY WORST DAY, I could kick his young a$$... LMAO!!!

Oh now now... calm your feathers, you old rooster So when does this old age stuff hit anyways? I feel ok now, I mean I don't have the energy I had when I was 21, but that's a different story...

As for the old age stuff hitting - it doesn't "hit" it creeps in slowly until one day you try to do something you haven't done for a while and it hurts or you can't lift that . . . best defence is to stay healthy. Doesn't stop you from becoming a curmudgeon, however, there is no stopping that!

Actually, 'bot despite all my aches and pains (a couple years of college football and a few more years bouncing around the minors as a catcher have really done me in), I feel pretty good right now. I was 325 lbs. in March, have been carrying 300 or more since not long after I got divorced (a little over 5 years ago) but am down in the low 240s at the moment and I've got a LOT of my oomph back. The hernia limits me a little as far as lifting things goes and surgery right now is not an option (my insurance refuses coverage since I've had a tiny hernia for 8 years and just recently ripped it BIG, so they are pulling the "pre-existing condition" card).
But I'm playing golf a couple times a week, still have my handicap around 3 and am doing a lot of walking and some light running. The doctor even just took me completely off of blood pressure meds for the first time in 6 years! So I take nothing now but a daily supplement to keep the fluids generating between my discs and a baby aspirin.
I got one piece of advice, as you get older, you lose time to be active and the pounds start piling up ---- MAKE TIME and don't let it get out of hand - you'll feel 10x younger as you get older...

Amen to that Brother! I started back at the gym 2 years ago, yeah, taking a class with a bunch of housewives (hey, some of the eye candy keeps you motivated) - I dropped 15 pounds, but more importantly I was able to climb two peaks in the Adirondacks this weekend with our Scout troop through pouring rain. I sure appreciated the glass of beer and the soak in the jacuzzi that my wife had ready when I got home, but I was able to do it and make it to work today! Keep it moving, you'll soon be cruising past your buddies that don't.
