strut MOUNTS? as in the metal thats welded to the frame? or the lower bushing mount on the arm? if the upper is cracked or bent. than you sir need an award. if the lower bushings are warn. i think you have to get new arms. not sure though. some users on here have had to deal with that already. the bushings might be press in?

i thought the upper strut mounts were inside the upper control arm?

the mount is between the upper control arm but the bucket or hat is actually welded to the frame

The strut mount is what mounts the top of the strut to the actual truck. They show a picture of it on rockauto when you look up the struts.
