smells like fish, i just cleaned mine and it didnt smell at all, u sure u cleaned the right thing?

Raider- yea i can start my truck from anywhere in the world as long as I have a cell connection. Besides that's I have like 5000 range on the remote. Also it has GPS tracking. For 500$ installed I couldn't go wrong.

The recharge kit is a must. Clean it with the solution & plenty of water. The biggest thing here is to let it dry WELL. Then re-oil it until the whole thing is a uniform red color. Most don't use enough oil...

just dont do what i did, i started cleaning it...and forgot. sat outside with the cleaner on it all night in a 38 degree rain. luckily i didnt damage it.

also another tip

CLEAN YOUR MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR

you be surprised how much crap is on it...stuff is sold at autozone,napa etc

What is about the right time to clean it? visual references? mileage? does where u live change how often you should clean it?

i live in ny, so before and after winter, we got alot of harsh salt, and other crap, it takes a toll on your vehical. but atleast once a year, longest part is letting it dry.
