Alternator question

130 amps should be way more then anyone needs in a vehicle. There are a lot of older homes that run service loads at 130 to 150 amps with full heat and AC, electric stoves/ovens and full AV home systems all at once and don’t over load their service.
You may have something else going on with your trucks electrical system. The newer Caravans/Town & Country mini vans with loaded options come with a 160 amp alt. but I don’t know about the bolt setup to match the Dakota. Some Power Master built make some 200 amp units.

The alternator checked out good today when I did a system test on my truck. It has me thinking that I might have a bad connection to my battery. I've seen people with smaller alternators and bigger systems in their cars with no problems, so I think I might check on the wiring before I make a purchase.
