The salesman at Summit Racing said that the Stage II is for engines with a new exhaust and CAI mods. That's why I went with the Stage II.

You should go to JET's website and read the parts list for the stage II. The reason I said you will need a lower thermostat or electric fan is because the stage II will change your fuel and timing curves even more resulting in higher temps which in turn will reduce your oil viscosity quicker possibly resulting in engine damage. By the way from personal experience never trust a salesman, always do your own research. A salesman is just that.

Glad you said something. I went back to their website and then called up Summit Racing. He said that he understates it because when people over do the mods on their vehicles and then the complain about it not working... ok.

Luckily, after reading that it also runs on 91% octane, I was able to call them and change the order to the Stage I. Later I might buy the Stage II when I get a new thermostat and gas is cheaper. Of course, the chip didn't make it last week like it was suppose to because the delivery guy couldn't "find" my address.

Thanks

If I were you DakotaStone, I would yank that stage 2 out real quick. Hopefully it hasn't YET caused any engine damage. I considered the Stage II also but being that a 180 degree thermostat was not available for my 3.7 , I was not willing to run the risk of engine damage.

Because they don't exist yet for the 3.7 or the 4.7. Don't you think we haven't checked?

I think you could find them. Check with WWW.KRCPERFORMANCE.COM. I'm sure that they're out there. Should be able to find one for the 2001-2004 4.7Ls.
