It attaches to the ECU under your hood and the cost is anywhere from $200-300 and it's suppose to give an extra 2-3 mpg.

 

i think it did, i was driving round the city tonight around 16.5-17 not too bad, relatively easy with a few get up and go's. Im pretty happy with it. for $200 i think its worth it. Id like to do headers at some point.

 

Just to follow up, i drilled a few holes in the thermostat and it works like a charm. Floats around that first line.

 

I dunno if I'd drill holes into anything on my truck.. but that does seem like a good idea...

Personal pref tho.

 

once you slip the red clips squeeze the clips and it will pop off, also who told you about engine damage. i have been beating my truck silly since the day i drove it off the lot. i installed the jet stage 2 chip with the imco cat back and k&n any 180 stat from any yaer 4.7 2000-20004 will work.

 

i think ill just wait til they come out with a programmer.....im focusing on blacking out my dak until then
