Jet chip!

I have the Jet stage I. This module does work with the 05+ 3.7 and 4.7 models because they are detuned from the factory unlike previous models. I have noticed gains with it on and a decrease with it off. You should only go to a stage II if you can lower your operating temps. I.E. thermostat or electric fan.

It is the second plug from the top. Once you pop the clip off, you kind off just have to wiggle and pull until it coms off. I pulled off the top plug too to get to the second one. It might be a tight fit to put the chip and the plug back on, so you might have to take off the air box as well.
Got it. The only thing that makes me nervouse is that the connectors are a lot easier to take off now. I pushed them on as far as they'll go.
Ok... I've added a new CAI (9 hp/10lbs), new exhaust (15hp?/20lbs?), and a new chip which how much power?

Never mind. Here's a link to a company that already dynoed the 3.7 and 4.7 engines. http://www.rpmoutlet.com/dodged.htm
They rate it at 15hp/19lbs for the 4.7 and the 3.7 is 8hp/13lbs. Not bad. So I guess I've put in about 40hp and 50lbs of torque. Too bad I'm going to have to go out and find someone in the Portland area that does a dyno for AWD.

It was tough pulling out the stock connectors, just had to be careful not to wiggle too much to avoid damaging the pins. Did you make sure you got a click when you pushed the Jet chip into the ECU? You probably noticed there is a clip on the chip that must snap over a little tab on the ECU. It took some effort but I got it.
I felt the click between the two modules when I popped it back on, but I can still take it off with a lot less effort than when I first took it off.
I drove it last night and I can fell a difference. The throttle responds a lot quicker, and I have to watch how fast I'm going. I don't have to push down as hard to get to 25mph. I caught myself a couple times last night.
