Yesterday I stopped at the gas station, after putting in gas I started my truck. The fuel light came on the the fuel gauge showed I was on empty. Shut the truck off and started it again, same thing. I started driving, and as I was driving the gauge needle started going up. Do you think I have a problem with the fuel level sending unit? Has this happened to anyone else.
Not sure if the fuel sending unit is electronic or not, could try disconnecting the battery for couple of hours and see if that resets it? Otherwise might want to bring it in. Its a fairly important thing to have a fuel gauge
Mine floats around like crazy. Takes a bit for mine to correct it self when I get off level ground.
X2, when I am out hitting the mud holes I carry an extra 5 gallons of gas in a can because when my truck rocks side by side my gas gauge needle bounces all over the guage
