Wow, thank you for all of the responses. They are very helpful.

I especially appreciate the breakdown of the info given in the manual and the suggestion of Dodge's owner website.

I know it sounds a little stupid, but I think one of the things that tripped me up is that I am accustom to more scheduled maintenance. Does that make sense? For example, I am used to switching out my oil every 3K as opposed to 5K.

Anyway, thanks for all the helpful responses. Good to know that there is this forum out here to help with the maintenance, and enjoyment, of my Dakota!
