Try plastic string from a weed whacker, it's heavy and flexable.

 

I cannot find the drain tubes in question. Can someone direct me to their location?

 

Check where your front door hinges attach to the body. Halfway in between the 2 hinges there is a (might be) rubber hose coming thru a rubber grommit. I have these on my 07 quad cab, at both front doors, but haven't been able to find out where they drain from. All I know is I did get crap out of them with trimmer string. (water and dirt) I do have an opening sun roof, so they could be from there. Also resealed weatherstriping above doors on the body and my leak problem seems to have been cured.......Hope this helps???
