A limited slip differential is what you want, I just had an Auburn Performance LSD installed and it does exactly what you're wanting. I just had a little fun in damp conditions and was able to break both tires loose every time to do small burnouts and tail slides.

And on top of being fun, it will let you live life on the edge by making driving in the snow down right dangerous unless you're in 4x4!

I've never tried to do a burnout in my Dak..as far as I know my truck has 3.55's. I want to do a burnout but really don't want a new rear end haha except I'd have an excuse to get 3.92 gears or even 4.10's (: It does spin the tires when I floor it off the line or in reverse gear though

Stick you an Auburn Gear LSD in there and be done with it, don't know it's in there when you don't need it but locks up pretty good when you do need it, just like the factory LSD SHOULD, but doesn't.

Of course you can also just weld the spiders for free, doing basically what a locker does, but it'll suck on turns on pavement. I wouldn't recommend it on a daily driver but guys do it...

A "Lincoln Locker" (welded) or a locker that automatically engages (like an Aussie Locker) isn't something that I'd recommend for a daily driver unless you only travel in a straight line. For good control on the road, the differential needs to be able to do it's job - you loose a lot of control & get unexpected surprises by fully or unexpectedly locking up the diffs, especially the front for a 4x4.

In my opinion, if you want both wheels to turn for added traction under some circumstances, install a manually controlled locker. This way, you'll have the control when you need it and the traction when you want it. Personally, I like air or electric manually selectable engagement lockers.

I agree completely. Expensive as hell, but by far the best of both worlds, but just who makes one for an AAM 9.25" rear end???
