My $3.52 worth (it's close to the holidays, everything is more expensive).

You guys are always complaining about how cheap the front end parts are that Dodge put in. With their peceived penny-pinching on the front end, do you really think they would install something that was not needed? Maybe most of us haven't yet been in a situation that it is designed for, but that likely is a good thing!

I've never used my airbags, but I'm not pulling them out to save weight!

I imagine that at 65 mph, passing a tractor-trailer when his rear duals break off and you have to avoid them, a sway bar just might keep the front wheels planted as you make a quick left-right-left.

Imagine the same situation, missing the sway bar, trying the same manouvre, hitting a van full of college students, guess who would be found at fault? Just for trying to avoid an accident!

Go carefully my friend.

I agree. If your following that close to another vehicle and didn't give yourself enough time to calmly, smoothly maneuver, a sway bar is a good idea....so is life insurance lol. I drive like an a**, average 30 above and take aggressive turns and had to swerve and lock up brakes. I've never felt in danger of the front end acting up. If anything I feel that having true independent suspension allows the tires to stay planted and not hop

I'm just saying that they don't put big chunks of steel in cars and trucks for $h!z and giggles! They are cheap. If it is not needed they leave it in the parts bin.

One of the top selling aftermarket components for Jeeps is a sway bar quick-disconnect, if they were not needed on pavement guys would just be removing them...

I'm going to make my own Sonnax when I get back home, I love free mods.

I have the Sonnax wire, and it does make a big difference. The power wire I made is the one for the IAT sensor. Theres aton of threads on here in this section and in the Ram 3rd gens and it has mixed reviews. Cheap mod and I enjoy soldering and playing with wires so I dont care if its succesful or not haha

My truck is the TRX-4 and on that model Dodge deleted the rear sway bars and the factory crap rear shock where an inch longer then on the non TRX-4 shocks. I hated the rear-end wallow taking turns so I found a Dodge Forum member who was selling both his bars and bought the rear bar. Even though it has the girth of a coat hanger it still helped with the wallow in the rear. The Monroe shock also where a great improvement over the red plastic factory screen door dampeners. The only off-road my truck sees is when camping pulling a six sleeper pop-up loaded with gear and a yellow lab. So ninety percent is highway to and from work. I wish Gabriel made hijackers air shocks for our trucks. Closest thing available would be air bags.
