I am interested, but "group buys" can be painful, it's not uncommon for people to drop out without paying after the order has been placed or to have the "account holder" suddenly disappear with the money. There are other ways to reduce the freight and to avoid the brokerage fees charged by most courier services, and what I find works if you have reasonable access to a US border crossing, is to get an account with a company that can provide you with a US address, stores your packages for a few dollars, and can either freight forward or you can drive down for a pickup. If there are a few people in either Ontario or Quebec that are interested in this approach, I can supply the details and then we could arrange for just 1 person to do the pickup, pay the tax, and bring the stuff to some mutually agreed upon spot. The place I've used in the past for jeep parts has an office in Niagara Falls NY - check here. There are similar services available close to other Provincial borders.

I'm interested in getting some stuff like a bull bar, grill insert, and the lift kit. This would make the hour to hour & a half drive worth while for me when I add up the US/Canadian price difference as well as the freight savings.

Well, I don't know if you were pulling my leg or maybe I'm missing something. The JMR suspension doesn't seem to have much credibility to it, it seems to be someone's daydream, or at least I can't find any solid description or pictures to show what this kit consists of or this lift on a Dakota.

I am really positive with both company of member here.

Jackmyride: its a copy paste affordable lift kit like: Rough country,Superlift,Fabtech,Zone offroad, of entry zone lift (crossmember drop, with factory shock,or optional shocks) the kit is design for a good streetability and good ground, tires clearance. But i think its not the kit for you if offroading for you means 60mph+ and jump the truck 20' in the air you may break the lift.

Projekt Dirt: Will offer a Expensive good quality Prerunner suspension lift like Camburg, Total chaos fab, kore etc...
I am sure the suspension will take much more abuse with lower gravity center with mose usable travel...but the truck will fall appart...without a full cage etc...

I am sure the JMR is more than enough for people driving 2005+ truck.
I dont know about most of you crazy american but me i dont plan to airborn my daylydrive 20 000$ in to the air or a tree but if you do please tape it and post it ASAP!!!

I have alot of trust in cody and stephen there is no competition between those products 2 totally different world!

I see some unsubstantiated stuff on youtube relating to Jack My Ride, and a bunch of controversy on this site (20 pages worth) where there were a lot of people trying to understand what this lift consisted of, but I don't see things like:
  • Company name, description, and location.
  • Product description and qualification.
  • Product pictures.
  • Installed pictures.
  • Testimonials.
I don't think I'd be too interested in getting involved in supporting an experimental product, especially one that I can't even see or read about.
