Default 2005 Dakota Body Lift

I'm still trying to gather some information to determine what I want to do with my truck to add some larger wheels and have come to a bit of an impasse. I've been reading a lot about the leveling kit causing early failure to some steering components, including the rack & pinion unit as well as the axle joints, and would appreciate some suggestions/information. Here are my questions:
  • Although I prefer the look of the "leveled" truck, I don't mind the raked look. Has anyone installed just the body lift without the leveling kit to get to a 32 or 33 inch wheel?
  • Is the 3 inch lift the only size available for the 3rd generation dakota?
  • Do all the body lift kits come with all required components such as the intermediate steering shaft extension? Is this an extension or a new shaft?
  • What are the preferred body lift kit brands or at least which ones is it recommended to stay away from?

I think leveling kits are getting an unnecessary bad rap. The front ends on these trucks are crap with or without a leveling kit.

Cody is using leveling kit alone with 33x11.5x16 with henneman fiberglass +4 flares

i am using 2.5''leveling kit +3'' body lift from performance accessories took 11hours to install with 2 friends and you have all parts needed but you need to trim the rad support if you dont use electric -fans...and some bumper trimming+ inner trimming...
Front shock, ball joints, tie rod end, and upper are junk whatever what you do change them if you have it in your face MOOG FTW!

I have the 3" PA body lift and no leveling kit with 32" tires and the only trimming was the inner fender well

Are you interested in the JMR suspension lift kit?
we could find a way to save on shipping if we find 10 peoples from Quebec and ontario for broke fees etc...?
