I didn't get a chance to take more pictures but the body shop is saying over $2,000 in damage since they have to repair 2 fenders, 2 doors (Removing the trim from both doors), tail gate, hood and it's too deep for buffing to take it out. My family has been going to the guy for a long time so I trust him as much as I trust anyone with my truck. He also said that my insurance has to pay for the repair less deductible and my premium won't go up since it's vandalism.

That's good news I guess, how much is the deductible?

I used to have a 1k deductible on comp stuff like this, it would be out of my reach. Luckily my wreck, and two speeding tickets dropped off and it's cheaper. Plus I switched to esurance and now I pay half as much, with two newer cars, and 250 for both deductibles. I hope I never have a claim because I've heard esurance is a PITA to work with. But so was geico so I don't care.

Good news on the insurance paying for it and not going up (if your body shop was right). Hope you're deductable is low, but it should be much less than the $2000 repair job.

My deductible is $1,000. Mass insurance is insane, I have tickets/accidents from when I was 20 still counting against me and I'm a month from 30 years old. Plus the town I live in is expensive so I had to go with the higher deductible. I'm hoping after this birthday it'll drop so I can drop the deductible. Either way $1,000 is better then covering the whole cost and hopefully I can get them to touch up some dings on the bed rails and tail gate.

atleast you dont live in ny, i love how you guys think things are expensive, you havent seen expensive till your in ny. hell we have the highest gas prices in the nation, always have. insurance, shoot, dont get me started on that.

think of it this way, whatever you pay, id pay 30% more, no lie. hell when gas in june was hovering 4.00$, i payed 3.49$ in maryland, AND THEY WERE COMPLAINING, so appreciate it man, i cant wait to get out of this crap hole of a state.
