Nice to hear that insurance is going to replace it for you. One of the things you want to make sure is whoever replaces the windshield, is to have them replace the seal that goes around the windshield.
Some shops to save a buck will use the current windshield seal. This is ok if the windshield seal is fairly new say a couple of years old. If they don’t replace the seal this can come back to haunt you when the next rain storm hits.
I learned the hard way on an old F150 I had when I tried to save a few bucks and not replace the seal. I had almost the same amount of water running down the inside of the windshield as I had hitting the outside of the windshield.
