Some shops to save a buck will use the current windshield seal. This is ok if the windshield seal is fairly new say a couple of years old. If they don’t replace the seal this can come back to haunt you when the next rain storm hits.

I learned the hard way on an old F150 I had when I tried to save a few bucks and not replace the seal. I had almost the same amount of water running down the inside of the windshield as I had hitting the outside of the windshield.
Thanks for the tip man!! Will definitely make sure the seal gets replaced

Backwoods: Great to hear that they are covering it. Glad you also told them the real way it happened. If you always tell the truth, you never have to remember the story!

Sometimes these things come back to bite you in the posterior.

Haha, my agent said that this isnt the first time she's heard of a wiper coming apart and cracking a windshield. Yea, I have known of one two many times of the "truth stretcher" coming back to haunt you lol
