It's easy to see, check under the hood, under the masters cylinder, sometimes on the fender well, you should see the ABS pump, it should look a bit like this:

There should be a control module that looks something like this:

Who says these trucks are bad in the snow? I bought a nice tow strap so I could go and recover the stuck fords and chevys... I have never been stuck and I have been blazing trails in snow over my hood. If you have the crap goodyears, that's your problem. Not the trucks. I have studded cooper msr's on and never have an issue.

I'm very pleased with my truck in the snow. The "GO" peddle is great, the "WHOA" peddle not so much, but we're trying to bring a lot of weight to a stop with no traction (4x4 doesn't help with the Whoa!).

My old grandpappy tought me to drive in the snow 40 years ago (I was 10ish). Said it wernt near the same as driving on dry pavement - I don't think much has changed! Easy on the accelerator, easyier on the brake peddle normally works.

ABS was available in 2005 as an option for $495. It's not on mine though.

And 3.92 gears for $40. Who in their right mind would pass on that option? It figures I have 3.55's.

Yea, I feel pretty good about snow driving myself thanks to my Dad and my 2wd 4500 HD Ram that I drove for work through some of the nastiest weather years we've had here. logged 200k miles in that beast and practically every time I went out of town in the winter, it was blizzards at some point or another.
