Default Installing Rear Blocks

So, I have everything unbolted except for the bolt that holds the leafs together. The axle will not drop. So, I'm assuming I need to unbolt this too? It doesn't seem right since I would imagine the leafs uncompressing.

Thanks

You need to clamp the spring pack together BEFORE you undo that centering bolt, otherwise you'll have a lot of difficulty putting all the leaves back together.

Ditto, use a clamp to hold the leafs together before you take that nut off. I learned that the hard way.

ok, so ive got the axle dropped... what do I do with those bolts?! do i remove them? I dont see how I can install the blocks with them in the way and then tighten the leafs back up (leaf bolts would them be too short)...

Rear blocks and shocks successfully installed. Not too shabby for a first timer.
