Anyone have a writeup on an Efan mod with the HHR or any other fan? Wondering how hard this mod will be, as well as cost.

I looked in the Sticky Notes section, but there were only pictures with no real writeup. guess i was looking for part numbers used (or vehicle callout) and wiring diagrams. Just the Eningeer in me.

Designer, Summit has a wiring kit that taps into the top radiator hose for $30-40 then just find an HHR fan.

Btw Welcome to the 3rd Gen Dak Section!

What type of engineer are you?

Thanks for the welcome.

I'll look at the summit site in a little.

I'm a mechanical engineer. So alot of the modifications being done on here interest me. The Heim tie rod end was impressive.
I work for International Automotive Components (IAC) but I work at Honda Research and Development.

I'm currently working on a lock center box for my center console. Once I get it modeled I'll mock one up and them make it.

I like the ideal of the summit switch, I might be able to replace the current thermostat sending unit or braze a new screw point into the radiator. Either way it might be the easiest. I'm not trying to squeeze every HP out of my truck, so I don't really need to control the on/off cycle other then to set it to factory.

How much HP are we really talking about anyway.... 1 or 2? I might not even do it for that little of a gain. still have to decide on headers and exhaust before I start squeezing...lol
