Default 05 dodge dakota stereo help

I have a 05 Dodge Dakota and I've researching but I can't find a good answer for my question. Is it possible to put a double din stereo in my truck? Also I've been looking into getting a new bezel for my truck, I want one that doesn't have the cut-outs for the volume and tuner ****. Anyone know a website where I could order one?

You can buy a 07+ Bezel, and (I believe) it should fit. It doesnt have the *** cut outs, since they changed the radio for those years

You will have to modify a stock Bezel to fit a double din radio. A few ppl have done it here.

If you put in an aftermarket single din stereo there are replacement bezels that you can get that fill in the **** areas. That's what I have for my Alpine IVA.

Any websites you recommend for buying the new bezel? I was hoping there was a quick fix to the double din question but I guess ill just go for a flip up. I just didn't want to put a new stereo in and still have those cutouts.

I have a flipout in my dakota. I bought the dash kit at walmart. Only issue with this flipout is the hardware on it makes the kit stick out just a tad. It's not flush with the bezel.

you could always modify your's and shave the ****'s. ive seen it done just cant remember the thread with the pictures in it. you will have to do some cutting.

Oh and since you're new #1 welcome to the forum
and #2 There is hardly any aftermarket accessory support so the only way to make it work is to modify a factory bezel.

I'm not sure which radio you're talking about, I don't think there is a 6 disc CD player with an AUX input. You can however, simply swap out the 6 CD stereo and replace it with the 1 CD stereo with the AUX input.

You can swap out the factory 6 disk changer for a single disk changer with an aux. input. I did that. Mine came out of an 06 model.

According to Crutchfield a double din won't fit (suppose some custom work could be done to make one fit)...I ended up putting a single din Pioneer in mine and it fit like a glove with the mounting kit.
