Default lets see your tool boxes

I am looking for a tool box for my truck and I need some ideas. Sense I have a quad cab with only a 5.5 foot bed I don't want something that is 2 feet wide but something that will still hold a decent amount of tools.

according to wikipedia fullsize truck bed are 60-70" wide your bed is 63-64" long

so a fullsize truck toolbox should work lengthwise (craigslist)

this is not taking into account the wheelwells and mounting

there are topside toolboxes you might be able to use

or you could always build your own

i believe its just a normal full size cross bed, but from what I remember it took up most of the space in the bed, so prolly not as beneficial as space wasting

I was thinking about making one but not having a welder or someone with the skills to do it down here makes it a little hard to make one

I found that the "mid size truck" tool boxes fit great in both height and width, but with my tonneau cover, I had no room to open or close the cover - I have a tri-fold tonneau. To solve this, I got a 3' box that I mounted in a "tray" assembly & it's held in place right at the tail gate. This way, I can open the tail gate and have room to reach in to unlock the first fold of the tonneau. The wider version that fits with only a couple of inches to spare would be good for someone with either a lift or roll-up style tonneau.
